What we do.
Consultation
We believe that getting your questions answered and your concerns addressed is a critical part of the planning process.
Any lawyer can generate forms, but good estate planning is not about creating forms for you to sign.
Comprehensive estate planning includes listening to you about what is important to you, how your family works, and what you want to achieve through planning.
The attorneys at Huron Valley Law Center work with you to help you understand what kinds of planning are available, how the planning works, and what kind of planning is best for your situation.
During our consultation, we will also discuss the specific steps of planning and how much the planning will cost.
Implementation
We work with you to design the plan that fits your particular needs and situation.
We do not do "cookie cutter” legal documents, your plan is designed for you and your family.
We also work with you to make sure that your plan will work in the end. An important part of estate planning is funding the trust – we work with you to make sure that this is done so that your plan will work when it needs to.
Reviews
We invite our clients to have their plans reviewed every 2-3 years, or more when appropriate.
We believe it is imperative to keep the lines of communication open so that the plans we help you design will work in the end. As time passes, people change, laws change, and assets change – we work with you to keep your plan updated so that it still works in the end.
We also invite our clients to several client education and appreciation events that we host throughout the year to give our clients more insight into their planning and to educate them on topics that are important to them.
Planning with the Huron Valley Law Center is not a "one and done” transaction, we work with clients who wish to have a relationship with their attorneys that will last throughout their lifetimes.
